Warranty Cricket Bats. We guarantee these bats against manufacturing flaws for 3 months from the date of purchase. Bats must be returned with proof of purchase to support any claim under warranty; failure to adhere to DKP recommendations can affect this guarantee. Please read our 'knocking in section' Willow and cane are natural raw materials used by DKP in accordance with the laws of the game; these raw materials naturally deteriorate with use and cannot be impervious to the effects of poor quality balls, mistimed shots/yorkers, tapping, general wear and tear etc. As a result it is impossible for any manufacturer to give a fixed period of longevity to a cricket bat.
Within this period we will offer a free repair service where in our opinion it is applicable. We will then carry out the necessary work to prolong the life of the bat. Any damage incurred around the toe area is NOT covered under the warranty.
A lot of the damage that occurs in the lifetime of a cricket bat is superficial and does not affect the performance of the bat.
DKP reserve the right to withdraw the Warranty Service if our experts deem that the bat has been subject to damage due to one or more of the following:
- Lack of adherence to our bat preparation guidelines.
- Deliberate damage.
- Edge/Toe damage
- Used on a bowling machine
- Use of poor quality balls.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Mistimed shots.
- Yorker damage.
- Excessive bat tapping.
- Water damage.
- Poor storage conditions (too damp or dry).
Bats returned under warranty will be assessed by our experts at DKP and we will advise as to the best form of action and whether or not the issue is covered by the warranty terms or if there may be a potential charge. We will NOT carry out any chargeable work without your consent.
Any valid warranty manufacturing and material defects will be repaired free. If the bat is still within the warranty period but considered beyond repair, we will offer a free or significantly discounted replacement depending on the condition/usage of the bat. Under no circumstances will we offer a refund once the bat has been used, this includes if it has become damaged.
At DKP we always try to be fair and reasonable and more ‘customer friendly’ than what is considered normal within the cricket bat market.
If any damage occurs, the bat must be returned promptly to us for advice. Minor repairs can easily be completed, leaving damage unattended until beyond repair may be construed as neglect. Repairs completed within the 3 month guarantee are normally free of charge; subsequent repairs and servicing are usually chargeable, but quoted before any repair work is carried out.
Our aim is to look after the bats and our customers with prompt, effective repair work in combination with clear advice on preparation and maintenance, throughout the lifespan of the bat. Please note toe damage is not covered under the warranty.
